Bunch of misfits

A refugee, a deserter and a traveller walked into Eorzea... the rest is history.

Mori No'uta - Forestreaper

Born in Doma, Mori's family fled the scene quickly after the Garlean occupation. She sought refuge in nature, going on long walks and letting the trees speak to her. Mori always had a peculiar proclivity to all kinds of different flora and fauna. So when she caught wind of the botanist guild in Gridania, it was only natural for her to join it. She spent many hours in The Black Shroud where she noticed that the various plants and beings responded to her singing. Questioning what this might be she looked for answers within the Conjurers Guild. This is where she took up her staff and started her journey as a healer. One fateful day whilst she was picking berries in the East Shroud, she stumbled upon a lost sylph. The creature was hurt, and through Mori's singing abilities she nursed it back to health. The creature thanked Mori and intruduced her to the rest of the Sylphs.Mori asked the Sylphs if she could tend to the Sylphlands, as this was an entirely new area she had not discovered yet. The Sylphs agreed, but only if Mori promised she would protect the sacred grounds. And thus she did, leaving her refugee life behind she took up her staff and began her life with the Sylphs, becoming the warden of the forest. Luring anyone who dared desecrate it into the dark woods with her siren song."Bold of you to assume that these lands are unprotected. Even more bold to think that I wouldn't find where you were hiding."

Saira Malaguld - The Fire Dragoness

A piercing fiery gaze with flaming hair to match adorn the multi-coloured scaled face of this Raen. Leaning against the wall of the Aftcastle she looks intimidating to approach, yet she has already noticed you standing and swaying from a distance. She turns around and greets you with a warm smile and thus her intimidating demeanour disappears like snow melting away on the first day of spring."Ah, were ye looking for me," she questions. She has adopted the Limsan way of speaking, yet every word is laced with a remainder of her Eastern accent. "How can I help?" Her smile is gentle, yet her stance confident, one should know better than to underestimate her.Hiding in plain sight is what Saira does best. The Raen, previously known in Doma as Kama Yumishi, has been doing exactly that for the last five years. From a young age she displayed a natural born talent for wielding knives. It didn't take long after the Garleans invaded Doma for her to join the Doman Shinobis. But, young and boisterous as she was, she went out on a mission on her own and managed to get herself captured. With the help of a Garlean medicus she managed to break free. Ashamed and fearing her family's safety Kama deserted the Doman Shinobis, feigning her own death she fled to Kugane. Here she boarded a merchant's ship heading to Ul'dah where she took on a new life as Saira. Now she spends most of her days looking for work in The Aftcastle. Frequenting many places and meeting many faces. When she isn't travelling through Eorzea on some kind of mission, she can usually be found hosting nights in her tavern, Broken Barrel, resting in her apartment in Lily Hills or honing her skills somewhere in The Black Shroud."Ye don't have to worry when I'm around. Just make sure yous on the right side of the blade when push comes to shove eh?"

Mercury Wren - Stargazer

Hailing from the Dalmascan jungle, Mercury always felt the inner need to travel. She would spend hours watching the stars that speckled the dark blue night sky. Wondering what else what out there in the universe, when the opportunity arose to travel together with the Bozjan Front she didn't hesitate for a second. Her cartographer skills were of great help in convincing the admiral to let her join and thus she found herself in Eorzea.Mercury celebrated many wins and mourned just as many losses. The most notable her husband, who sadly died in battle. She still wears her wedding ring to commemorate him.Struck by grief, Mercury decided to leave the Bozjan Front and board the closest ship she could find. This brought her to Old Sharlayan. Inspired by the professors she spoke with on the main square, she decided to take on some classes. The classes regarding The Twelve peaked her interest most. She spent hours upon hours in the Noumenon, trying to find something that would fulfill her ever growing lust for knowledge. The Sharlayan Scholars admired her determination and given her skills for cartography they gave Mercury a task. She was to travel to The Holy See of Ishgard where she would be closely working together with the local Astronomers to map out the surrounding areas, whilst she could also conduct a more thorough study of the twelve."Did you know that Halone and Nophica were rivals, it's absolutely fascinating how they managed to put their differences aside and work to a greater good. Come sit down, I'll make us some tea and muffins and tell you all about it!"
